In which process links are peristaltic pumps applied in glass fiber production?

Aug 09,2024 Product knowledge By: Nabu Fluid

Peristaltic pumps are commonly used for the conveying of liquid materials such as resin and curing agent in glass fiber production.

In glass fiber manufacturing, liquid materials including resin and curing agent need to be accurately dosed into the production process to guarantee the quality and performance of finished products.

As a precision liquid conveying device, the peristaltic pump delivers stable flow rate and precise flow control, making it ideal for dosing low-flow liquid materials.

Specifically, peristaltic pumps are mainly used in the following links of glass fiber production:

  1. Resin Dosing
In the resin impregnation process of glass fiber production, resin solution needs to be accurately metered and added to fibers to ensure the impregnation uniformity of fibers and the quality of finished products.
Peristaltic pumps realize the accurate addition of resin solution via precise flow control.
  2. Curing Agent Dosing
In the curing process of glass fiber production, curing agent is required to be gradually added into resin to trigger the resin curing reaction.
Peristaltic pumps provide stable flow regulation to ensure accurate dosing of the curing agent.
  3. Dosing of Other Liquids
Apart from resin and curing agent, other liquid raw materials such as surface treatment agents and lubricants may also be required in the glass fiber production process.
Peristaltic pumps enable precise conveying to meet the requirements of production processes.
